Ms.  Natalie  Valentine
"Trina" - Falsettos

A Birmingham native, Natalie is a graphic designer by trade. She studied vocal performance at the University of Montevallo, but being a rather practical gal, decided to finish her degree in business instead. Her most treasured role to date is Marmee in Red Mountain Theatre Company’s production of Little Women. You may also have seen her around town in various productions such as TheDane's Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, VST’s Calendar Girls, RMTC’s Holiday Spectacular, La Cage Aux Folles and The Wedding Singer. Natalie wishes to thank her family and friends for their continued love and support, you know who you are. But mostly would like to thank her incredible daughter Aran, who she will never be a cool as.

Mr.  Neal  Hunter Hyde
Recently seen as Mendel in Red Mountain Theatre Company’s Fiddler on the Roof, Neal is thrilled to be performing for The DANE again, with so many talented friends on this beautiful piece. Mr.  Tyler  Spindler
Tyler Matthew Spindler is so incredibly excited to be a part of this production. Previous local credits include The Producers (Leo Bloom), Lend Me A Tenor (Max), Twelfth Night (Sebastian), Next to Normal (Henry), and a CAT Scripts production of Rumors (Ken). Tyler will also be playing Lucentio in Virginia Samford Theatre’s upcoming production of Taming of the Shrew as well as performing a vast amount of technical work across the city.

Mr.  Andrew  Robertson
Andrew is delighted to have the opportunity to work with Dane, Jay, and this very talented cast and crew! Andrew is a rising seventh-grader at Mountain Brook Junior High School. He has been seen in a number of shows locally, and has also spent the last year as part of Red Mountain Theatre Company's Youth Conservatory. Andrew’s interests other than acting include playing piano and clarinet, as well as reading and learning about most anything! He would like to thank his family for all their support, and to thank the patrons tonight for your support of the arts in Birmingham.

Mr.  Payne  Hopton-Jones
Payne Hopton-Jones received his BFA in Music Theatre from Auburn University, and he is excited to be returning to the Birmingham stage, this time with The DANE! Some of his favorite regional credits include John Borden in The Lost Colony, Felix in The Normal Heart, Rapunzel's Prince in Into the Woods, Leaf Coneybear in ...Spelling Bee, and the Cat in the Hat in Seussical. Payne would like to extend the biggest thank you to all his friends and family for always being there. This one's for you, Mom and Dad. You are deeply missed.

Ms.  Amy  Johnson
A graduate of the University of Montevallo, Amy has been seen in numerous productions in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. When she’s not performing, Amy can be found cooking, honing her voiceover artist skills, exploring her beloved Magic City, working in #socialmedia and singing in the shower…or pretty much anywhere.

Recent favorite roles include Fiddler on the Roof (Fruma-Sarah), The Little Mermaid (Ursula), SPAMALOT (The Lady of the Lake), Sister Act (Sister Mary Patrick), Big Fish (The Witch), Mary Poppins (Mrs. Brill), Will & Dutch: Alabama’s Legendary Bankheads (Marie Bankhead Owen), Band Geeks (Ms. Dixon), ‘Night Mother (Jessie Cates), Les Miserables (Hair Hag/Ensemble), and Into The Woods (Jack’s Mother). Many, many thanks to Dane for a show full of firsts; what a humbling opportunity to be able to tell this story with such an amazing group of folks. This show is dedicated to several people: those who’ve loved (in or out of a closet), those who’ve supported that love, and those who’ve lost love to something bigger than themselves.

Ms.  Dana  Porter
"Cordelia" - Falsettos

Dana Porter is thrilled to be joining this incredible production. Last seen on the BFT stage as "Meg" in Crimes of the Heart, Dana has performed nationally and internationally throughout her career-from Carnegie Hall to Hong Kong! Locally, Dana has performed and taught with numerous groups including Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Birmingham Children's Theatre, The Dance Foundation, The DANE, Sursum Corda, Virginia Samford Theatre, and at the historic Lyric Theatre.

Mr.  Dane  Peterson
Director - Falsettos

A Birmingham native, Mr. Peterson served as the Founding Vice President of the Birmingham Area Theatre Alliance (2003), the Theatre Director for John Carroll Catholic High School (1997 to 2007), Director of Education and Production at Birmingham Children’s Theatre (2008-2013) and continues as Founding Artistic Director at The DANE. Curently, he serves as Director of Theatre Arts at Indian Springs School. Mr. Peterson holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Birmingham-Southern College (1997).

Mr. Peterson is an Associate Member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) and an Equity Membership Candidate with Actors’ Equity Association (AEA).

Mr.  Jay  Tumminello
Music Director - Falsettos
Now a musical theatre veteran, Jay is a Jack-of-all-trades, putting most of his skills to use behind the scenes or in the orchestra pit, having either musically directed or designing sound for nearly 100 productions. In addition to having composed dozens of scores for BCT through the years, Jay’s compositional and arranging work can be heard at any given time coast to coast, having created arrangements or original music for Regal Productions in Los Angeles, The Broadway Rose in Portland, New American Theatre in Rockford, IL., and many cabaret performers in NYC. Always learning something new, Jay’s latest obsession is the accordion.
